Hanan has worked in biomedical data science, such as bioinformatics analysis, biomedical knowledge graph. Previously, she has also worked as a science teacher’s assistant in Yemen as well as on human clinical wet lab analysis including bacterial culture and serology, biochemical assays. Hanan is currently involved in the RESIST Biomedical Data Analysis Group (BDAG), supervised by Prof. Depledge, Prof. Lauber and Prof. Galardini, where her tasks include analyzing data sets such as mass spectrometry, developing and maintaining bioinformatics workflows, and supporting introductory bioinformatics courses for non-computer scientists. Outside the lab, Hanan writes arabic poetry and prose and enjoys different activities with her friends.
