Dan gets an award!
Priscilla Schaffer Memorial Award & Lecture at the 48th International Herpesvirus Workshop
Today, Dan was awarded the Priscilla Schaffer Memorial Award and gave the memorial lecture at the 48th International Herpesvirus Workshop meeting in Portland, Oregon. This prestigious award recognizes is awarded on an annual basis and is given to an early career scientist who has demonstrated significant contributions to the advancement of research on herpesviruses.
Unfortunately, Dan suffered a nasty back injury a few days ago and was unable to attend the meeting in person. He therefore gave the memorial lecture by recorded video instead. The lecture was entitled ‘Regulation of the VZV latent-to-lytic switch’.
